Reventure: A Review

Hello to all of you lovely people once again! As you can see, we are back to our regularly scheduled programming. Now I can finally get back to writing sleep-deprived game reviews. Anyways, once again, today I have a wonderful game I can’t wait to share with you all! Now, I may not be able to write about as much for this game. This is because it is so much better to simply go in blind. This game is simply one of my favorite games just because of the humor that seems to never get boring. The game that has won this very special spot in my heart is the game Reventure. With that out of the way, let’s get into it!

First, this game has what I would like to call a “homey” feeling to it. Just the classic-feeling music combined with its incredibly simple graphics make this game just a treat to play! Anyways, gameplay: this game has incredibly simple controls. It legit has five buttons you control with. These are: left, right, jump, interact, and attack. That is legit. Making this game incredibly easy for a new player to pick up. The main gimmick of this game, however, is the collectathon aspect of it. You are essentially tasked with getting all of the one hundred endings this game has to offer. Now that may seem like a daunting task, but the comedy and overall charm of this game makes completing that task so much easier. Now, as you could imagine, the map layout is incredibly simple and small. This is so that you can unlock everything so much easier. Because once you get an ending, you have to go back where you started, the house. Overall though, the challenge of finding all of the endings is worthwhile. Making the game an incredibly fun experience to pick up for an hour or two, then put it down when you’ve had your fix.

There really is not much else I can say about this game, as it is, once again, so much better to experience in person. The overall best part about this game is, though… it’s only four dollars! This wonderful experience can legitimately run on any hardware, with the added bonus of being a very cheap game. Now, what are you waiting for? Pick up this game if you need a laugh or two, or if you like collectathons! Anyways, thank you for reading, and have a good one!
