This year, I am in seventh grade, and I am doing really well in school. I understand if all the sixth graders here are scared and feel like they want to cry. I was like this too and it was EXTRA hard for me as I graduated from a Montessori school. As this is a science school, I had mainly failing grades by the end of the semester! But now that I know the lay of the land, I am a confident, happy, and smart young woman. If you want to know how to push through as I did, keep on reading. Fun Things to do in Autumn

Are you bored during autumn? Do you need something to do? Then this article is for you to get some ideas  for autumn activities with family, friends, and yourself. Some activities you can do by yourself include knitting, making a turkey out of leaves, and making butternut squash soup. Another classic would be baking an apple or pumpkin pie. You can also create a pinecone bird feeder so the birds can be well fed this season!

Mary Sues and How to Fix Them

If you’ve ever written stories, then chances are that you made one of your characters a Mary Sue (or Gary Stew for masculine characters). As most people know it, a Mary Sue is a perfect character with no flaws, everyone likes them, and the world basically revolves around them. What people don’t realize is that Mary Sue is honestly a term that is thrown around quite loosely. There is no dictionary definition of a Mary Sue, but there are definitely defining characteristics of one.

A Guide to Chinchillas

The chinchilla is a small rodent that is commonly found with gray fur, and with “velvety rounded ears” (San Diego Zoo). There are two types of chinchillas, domestic, and wild chinchillas. Wild chinchillas live in herds that contain 100 animals; Surprisingly when chinchillas have kits, male chinchillas can help raise them. Also, when kits are abandoned, “another female may come and rescue [the kits] and feed [them] (San Diego Zoo). The long-tailed and short-tailed chinchillas are two different chinchilla species. Sadly, Chinchillas are endangered and their numbers drop day by day.
