New Content Announced on Disney Plus

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF IN TRAINING AND STAFF WRITER

During the next three years, twenty-two new series are set to be released exclusively on Disney Plus. Ten of these series will be Star Wars related, and twelve will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Disney announced this on their Instagram and Twitter on December 10, and other posts included previews of the content. All this has many fans excited, so today we’ll look at what interesting content is being released.

Animal Pen: How Chameleons Change Color

Chameleons can change color for multiple purposes: to intimidate predators, camouflage themselves, find mates, and possibly change their temperature. Their skin cells have microscopic crystals that are clumped together and are called photonic crystals. To change colors, they squeeze their photonic crystals, “causing different wavelengths of light to be reflected…meanwhile, the normal skin cells can expand or shrink to fill in any gaps” (Arnold). Most have thought that blue chameleons would have a blue pigment in their skin, but that is incorrect.

Those hours were spent over the course of only one year. Anyways this game is what I have rated Game-Of-The-Year for 2020; so it’s gotta be pretty good! On December 1, 2020, Elliot Page posted on their Instagram with an announcement. “My friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they, and my name is Elliot,” they said in the letter. Elliot Page is most known for his role as Vanya in The Umbrella Academy, the popular Netflix show, and his role as Juno MacGuff in the movie Juno.

The Case Against Mark Zuckerberg

At its inception, Facebook had good intentions. It gave way to person-to-person communication where people would upload photos and share information about their lives with the world. It ensured transparency by making sure people couldn’t pretend to be someone they weren’t and it was started in 2004 by Harvard students. It  was originally created for them alone, but as the word spread to students at other prestigious universities, its  popularity and usage snowballed. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, there were over one billion users as of 2012.
