Cinder Book Recommendation

Fernando A. Torres once said, “mirrors are useless for reflecting who you are.” Marissa Meyer, the author of a bestselling science fiction book Cinder, clearly uses this important message in her story and in the rest of her series, the Lunar Chronicles. Cinder is about a 15-year-old cyborg that has the power to save her nation but is unsure how. Her country of Eastern Commonwealth and the rest of Earth is under a serious plague that is killing people every day. When the horrible sickness kills their beloved king, chaos strikes and the matter becomes worse.

Cinder is a cyborg, which makes her very different from everyone else. When Cinder’s human best friend and sister is infected, her misunderstood stepmother forces her to go to a research program that could kill her. But a quality is found in her that some people would kill for. The story of Cinder is an action-packed book that keeps you on your toes. It is a great book to read while quarantining and is recommended for ages 10 and up. This book is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series, and I rate it a well earned 9.5 out of 10.
