House Flipper: A Review

For nostalgia’s sake, and because I couldn’t think of anything else to write about, I’ve decided to write another good ol’ game review. Not really expanding my horizons, but they do say “do what you love!” Anyways, The game of choice today will be one you can absolutely just zone out to. With simple concepts, yet an underlying complexity, this game will leave you entertained for hours. Plus, there’s an active modding community, and free DLC being released fairly often! All of these traits I feel as though keep a game, and it’s community, alive. This game in question today is House Flipper. With that out of the way, let’s get right into it!

To start us off, do you like interior decorating? Or perhaps you take satisfaction in cleanliness? These traits in a person would make them absolutely suited for this game! House Flipper is a simulation game that has players taking up odd jobs, to then later be able to afford fixer-upper houses that can later be sold at a profit. These odd jobs can be anywhere from installing a sink, to making a house an “open floor concept” with a hammer. You also have the opportunity to clean up houses as well, making for a satisfying ending when you finally complete it. The best part about this game is that there really isn’t an ending. You could keep fixing up houses ‘till the end of time, if that’s what you want to do in life. As you progress throughout the game, you can also level up your tools. Allowing for really cool quality-of-life additions, like the ability to paint two walls at the same time!

This game also has really cool interior decorating options as well! You have options for every part of the house. From the tiling of your bathroom, to the shade of purple your kitchen cabinets are. Honestly, any shade of purple on cabinets would be pretty ugly, but that’s your choice, and that’s what makes this game great! The choice is literally up to you about how you want to decorate your houses, and with the option of modded community content, it’s unsurprising why this game has had a strong community for over three years. Plus, the developers just released a new FREE DLC where you can clean out, and make your own, nuclear bunker! Adding a whole new aesthetic to the game.

Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone just wanting to relax and escape the hassles of modern day life for a little bit. Especially if you like the games Minecraft and Stardew Valley. Anyways, that’s all from me today, thank you for reading as usual!

Thanks!
