Hi, MSA! It has been about 6 weeks since the Middle School Math League kick-off, and we are off to a great start; we just had our first meet on the 16th of October and it was very successful. At the moment, we have kids from all middle school grades. We have kids from all different math classes and teachers. At the moment, our school has two teams – team A and team B; Team A has all 7th graders, and Team B has all 6th graders. We also have a replacement team if someone isn’t at the meet. This club is run by Mr. Shaack. If you don’t know him, he is the MS1 and MS2 math teacher.

During the actual meet, there are three different sections. We have two individuals and one group! Now that we have talked about all the basics, here are the results from the latest meet; Team A (7th graders) got 3rd place with a score of 9/10, and Team B (6th graders) got 5th place with a score of 3/10. In all, our first math league meet was very successful and fun! Remember, if you like math, and want to join a club, the math league meets every Tuesday, at 8 am. The Middle School Math League would love more members so make sure to join!
