Spoiler warning for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. NO Spoilers for No Way Home
The newest Spiderman movie, starring Tom Holland, was exclusively released in theaters on December 17th. This movie stars Zendaya as MJ and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. No Way Home is a continuation of the Tom Holland Spiderman movies – part of phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking place after Avengers: Endgame. There were rumors about another possible appearance: Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, or Venom. From the post-credit scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, there was a hint of a connection between the two movies. In the scene, Venom attempts to show Eddie what he has experienced, but they end up transporting to be in the same world as Spiderman. This is right as the news is talking about Spiderman’s identity as Peter Parker.
Ticket sales have skyrocketed, only being released on November 29th. Many theatres sold out soon after sales started, sparking worldwide concern over the newest Covid-19 variant, Omicron. The large influx of ticket purchases raises concerns about mass spreading of the new variant since not much is known yet about it.
